HIGHLAND COUNTY, Ohio — Law enforcement are investigating a case of animal abuse after a kitten was thrown from a moving car.
The Highland County Sheriff was contacted by humane agents on Wednesday after the Fayette Regional Humane Society said a person saw a small kitten being thrown out the window of a car.
Agents with the humane society picked up the kitten and took it to an animal care and adoption center for evaluation.
Officials said that the kitten should make a full recovery but may lose a small portion of its ear. Volunteers nicknamed the kitten “Bravo.”
The Sheriff said he is looking for a small, white vehicle similar to a Kia Soul or Nissan Cube. Witnesses say the vehicle was traveling south toward Leesburg when the kitten was tossed from the window.
Anyone with information regarding this case should call the Fayette Regional Humane Society at 740-335-8126 or the Highland County Sheriff at 937-393-1421.
