WILMINGTON, Ohio — Storm Prediction Center has placed parts of the Scioto Valley under the risk for severe weather.
According to the National Weather Service, the first round of storms is expected to develop Wednesday evening and into the morning hours on Thursday. NWS said that the second round will likely form during the heating of the afternoon and early evening.
Meteorologists say that strong winds and localized flooding will be the primary threat with these storms however, a few tornadoes will also be possible on Thursday.
