ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — The Ross County Sheriff said a domestic altercation turned violent overnight.
According to reports, a deputy with the Sheriff’s Office was driving along route 180 when he found a woman lying in the middle of the highway Saturday evening.
Law enforcement officials said the deputy stopped to help the woman and that is when it was discovered she had been violently beaten by her husband.
The woman told deputies that her husband had dumped her along the road after beating her. A small manhunt was underway to find the man, who was located a short time later.
The woman was transported by EMS to Adena Regional Medical Center and is expected to be okay.
