ROSS COUNTY, Ohio– A serious motorcycle crash sent two people to the hospital in Ross County.
The accident occurred around 4:30 p.m., Saturday.
According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, Jamie Wagner, 38, and his passenger James Wagner, 15, both of Kingston were riding a Yamaha motorcycle along Marrietta Road when they were struck by an SUV driven by Douglas Hill, 26, Chillicothe.
Troopers said Hill failed to yield when turning left onto Marrietta Road, striking the motorcycle. The accident, according to reports, threw both Wagners from the motorcycle.
Two medical helicopters were requested by EMS to transport the injured.
Jamie Wagner was taken to Adena Regional Medical Center where he was later airlifted to Grant Hospital in Columbus. Wagner was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
James Wagner was airlifted to Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The younger Wagner was wearing a helmet at the time.
Douglas Hill was treated by EMS at the scene.
According to troopers, the crash remains under investigation.
