Phyllis A. Allison, 87, of Chillicothe, passed from this life into Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 25, 2021 following an extended illness.

Phyllis was born May 18, 1934 in Cheshire, Ohio of Gallia County to the late Rev. Otho and Alice Neal Fisher.

Phyllis is survived by her husband of 67 years, Rev. Delbert Allison, daughters Debbie (the late Neil) Smith and Vicki (Rev. Bruce) Viar of Chillicothe, son Dan (Rhonda) Allison of St. Peters, MO, grandchildren Whitney (Jordan) Eggleston, Jacob and Luke Allison and great-grandchildren Wyatt and Paxton Eggleston. She is also survived by sister-in-law Delores (the late Clarence) Dennewitz, brother-in-law Rev. Glen (Roberta) Allison, twin aunts Esther and Evelyn Allison; and nephews, Rev. David (Karla) and Rev. Matt (Melissa) Allison.  She was predeceased by sisters, Ella Fisher Shoemaker and Norma Fisher Shively; brothers, Charles and James Fisher; and nephews, Glen, Jr., and Robert Allison

Phyllis was a wonderful wife who tremendously helped her husband, Delbert, in his ministry of sharing the Gospel over the past 62 years, and a cherished and wonderful mother to her children.   

We wish to thank all the nurses and staff of Adena Hospice, Dr. Seidensticker, Bill, Chip and special Hospice nurses, Whitney and Vicki for the help and guidance given Phyllis in the last few weeks.  We also wish to thank Dr. Reggina Yandila, and all the caring staff of Adena Regional Medical Center and OSU Wexner Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the WARE FUNERAL HOME with the Rev. Bruce Viar officiating.  Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery of Chillicothe.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday.
