ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A single vehicle rollover accident has left one person trapped in rising flood waters.
The call came into Ross County dispatch around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night of a handicap person trapped inside their wrecked vehicle.
According to reports, the accident occurred near the area of Francis Lane and Vigo Road.
The injured person told first responders that they had taken a curve too fast and had lost control in the rain.
Officials said the vehicle rolled down into a creek leaving the person fighting for their life as water began to inundate the vehicle.
Fire and rescues were dispatched to the scene to rescue the person. A medical helicopter was called, as well. It declined due to weather.
Crews worked for nearly two hours to free the trapped individual. The person was taken to Adena Regional Medical Center for evaluation.
