HIGHLAND COUNTY, Ohio — The third, and believed to be the final suspect in the murder of a Cynthiana school bus driver has been arrested.
Pike County Sheriff Tracy Evans said that Dalton J. Boyd, 28, was arrested on Monday, with the help of federal agents from the U.S. Marshals, Waverly Police Department, and deputies from the Highland and Ross County Sheriff’s offices. Boyd, along with Aaron D. Cox and Ashley L. Landrum have all been charged in the murder of Chris Martin.
Martin, 65, was gunned down in his own driveway last week while he was taking out the trash. Law enforcement have not released a motive, but family have said they believed it was a robbery. His funeral was held last week.
Cox and Landrum were arrested over the weekend.
An earlier version of this article said that Boyd was arrested by federal agents. While U.S. Marshals are federal agents, the Sheriff would like to clarify that it was a collective effort between multiple jurisdictions.
