CHILLICOTHE, Ohio —- Chillicothe Police arrested a man who was on the run from authorities in Maryland.
Cameron Neal Burke, 27, was arrested Tuesday after Ross County Probation Officers went to a house to do a standard home check.
Burke’s name was entered into the police database and that’s when they learned he was a “wanted fugitive from justice.”
Officials say the man had been on the run for nearly three years and had been hiding out in Chillicothe.
Authorities contacted police in Maryland, who confirmed an active warrant. Currently, Burke is being held in the Ross County jail pending extradition.
According to documents obtained by the Guardian, Burke is wanted on several felony charges connected to burglaries in Fruitland, Maryland.
