CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — In Chillicothe, a man reported that someone stole his motorcycle right out of his backyard.
Police say the theft occurred at a house on Scioto Street.
When officers arrived at the home on Wednesday, they met with the owner. He told police the motorcycle had been parked in his backyard around 9:30 p.m., and when he walked outside around 1:00 a.m., it was gone.
Reports state officers searched the backyard area and discovered motorcycle tracks. Police say the motorcycle was likely pushed into the alley behind the home.
Officers searched the area to see if the stolen motorcycle had been stashed somewhere waiting to be picked up by the thieves.
Authorities say the motorcycle has not yet been found and is listed in the police database as stolen. Officials have not released a description of the motorcycle at this time.
The case is still under investigation and no further details were made available.
