SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio — A man is dead and another person is behind bars after a shooting Saturday morning.
It happened in Franklin Furnace after deputies were sent to a house on Tyler Way.
Sheriff Davis Thoroughman said that the initial report was someone had a head injury from falling. However, when medics arrived and took Charles Cremeans, 43, to the hospital, it was found he had been shot.
Deputies launched an investigation and arrested Tracie Darby, 53, for obstruction of justice and tampering with evidence. The Sheriff did not say if she was a suspect in the shooting or how Creameans was shot. His body was sent to for an autopsy.
Cremeans died at the hospital.
