Ina R. Howard, age 92, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at her home with her family by her side. She was born on June 14, 1929, in Rockcastle County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Roy and Marie (Mink) Pace. Mrs. Howard was a long-time member of the Union Hill Church in Peebles, Ohio. Her greatest strength and gift was prayer. She prayed long and faithfully. Her greatest desire was to see all of her family united in heaven, worshipping together. If Ina was praying for you, the battle was already won. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and reading her Bible. She will be greatly missed by many. Ina is survived by her son, Roy (Sonya) Howard of Hillsboro; two grandchildren, Caleb (Danielle) Howard of Hillsboro, and Kelsey (Ben) Reed of Hillsboro; four great-grandchildren, Noah Howard, Titus Howard, Jase Reed, and Lyla Reed; four sisters, Opal Anderson, Mattie (Herbert) Richmond, Ene Howard, and Melba Myers; a close friend, Rita Purtee, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Earl Howard on June 20, 2013; a son, Rickie Lee Howard; three brothers-in-law, Raymond Anderson, Buck Howard, and Lloyd Myers. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will take place at 12:00 p.m. following visitation on Saturday, October 9th at the Turner & Son Funeral Home. Rev. Tom Zile will be officiating.
