ROSS COUNTY, Ohio– A Ross County medic was assaulted, deputies say, by a combative patient.
Paint Creek Medics responded to Little Creek Road around 1:30 p.m. Sunday for a person ill.
According to reports, deputies were dispatched to the scene after the patient began punching one of the first responders trying to care for them.
Authorities did not say why the person became violent and what led up to the assault.
EMS said they were able to secure the patient in the rear of the ambulance before deputies arrived.
The circumstances surrounding the incident were not immediately released.
