CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A federal investigation is underway to identify and catch the thieves who stole several items from the Hopewell Culture National Historical Park.
United States Park Rangers said thieves stole their resource trailer and nearly $9,000 worth of tools.
Authorities say the suspect’s vehicle is an older 90s or early 2000s GMC Sierra pickup. Rangers said the vehicle appeared to be dark blue or black.
The driver, officials said, appeared to be a white male, around 6′ tall, with a thin to medium build. The suspect was wearing a black jacket or sweatshirt with a possible “NIKE” logo. The truck’s passenger, rangers said, is believed to be a juvenile.
