KENTON COUNTY, Kentucky — A federal grand jury indicted a former Kentucky coroner for illegally distributing opiates.
In a statement from the U.S. Department of Justice, David W. Suetholz, 73, Ludlow, Kentucky, distributed high-powered opioids to three patients, on ten separate occasions, between September 2018 and February 2020.
Suetholz, a medical doctor, served as the elected county coroner for Kenton County, Kentucky, until June 30, 2021, officials say.
If convicted, David Suetholz could spend the next 20 years in federal prison.
