ROSS COUNTY, Ohio —- Deputies were involved in a short pursuit Friday evening in Chillicothe.
Deputies attempted to stop a white Toyota Corrola, but the driver fled. Reports say the vehicle was stopped once but took off again, nearly dragging a deputy behind it. The deputy, according to dispatch, was not seriously injured.
Officers from the Chillicothe Police Department responded with deputies to North Bridge Street near Tire Discounters shortly before 11 p.m.
Units on the scene were able to surround the vehicle and take the suspect, Lisa Reese into custody.
Law enforcement has not commented on why the suspect fled, but alcohol is believed to have been involved. The incident, officials say, remains under investigation.
