ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A Ross County man says he confronted a local drug dealer after catching him selling drugs in front of his residence.
The Ross County Sheriff’s Office responded to Eastern Avenue for a hit-and-skip complaint on Monday.
Deputies said they spoke with the resident who stated that he had confronted his ex-girlfriend’s drug dealer, who, according to reports, was selling drugs out front of the man’s home.
Initial reports said the man confronted the alleged drug dealer who had parked in his driveway to make a deal. The man stated that he went and parked his personal vehicle in front of the dealer’s car and told him “he wasn’t selling that s***t here, and to get the f*** off of his property.”
In a statement submitted by the man, he said the dealer then became angry and smashed into his vehicle before taking off. The dealer, according to witnesses, yelled out the car window, saying, “This is not over,” and that he would return with a gun.
Law enforcement was advised that the alleged dealer stayed in the area of Dayton Street in the city of Chillicothe. Police say they canvassed the area but could not locate the suspects’ white Ford Bronco.
Deputies made a report about the incident. No further details were released at the time. The incident remains under investigation.
