Michael A. Ellenburg, age 62, of Hillsboro, passed away Saturday December 11, 2021, at The James Center at Ohio State University. He was born on October 3, 1959, in Middletown, Ohio, the son of the late Jack and June (Dye) Ellenburg. Michael worked 32 years as a machinist for General Electric. He was a member of the Highland Beagle Club, as well as many other Beagle Clubs throughout the United States. He enjoyed raising beagles, rabbit hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. Michael is survived by three children, Zach (Kim) Ellenburg of Middletown, Ohio, Travis (Kim) Ellenburg of El Paso, Texas, and Katie (Chris) Streber of New Vienna, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Colt Ellenburg, Gunner Ellenburg, Tyler Ellenburg, Kaden Ellenburg, Grayson Ellenburg, Landon Streber, Stella Streber, and Sawyer Streber; two sisters, Donna Remsing and Jackie Remsing; his life partner, Jane Tucker, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Fred Remsing, and Richard Remsing. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday December 17, 2021, at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. following visitation on Friday December 17th at the Turner & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow services in the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Highland Beagle Club, in C/O, Zachary Ellenburg, 6086 Valleybrook Drive, Middletown, Ohio 45044.
