ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Ross County Auditor Thomas M. Spetnagel, Jr. has announced that the deadline for purchasing 2022 Dog licenses without penalty has been extended from January 31 to February 15.
Dog licenses will be available at the following locations through February 15th: Garman Feed & Supply in South Salem, Paint Valley Hardware & Supply in Bainbridge, Frankfort Hardware in Frankfort, Central Center Hardware in Chillicothe, NorthFork Animal Clinic on Anderson Station Road, and Edwards Hardware & Supply in Kingston.
Dog tags are also available year round at the County Auditor’s office, the Dog Warden/Humane Society offices on Lick Run Road, and again this year at North Fork Animal Clinic.
Spetnagel, Jr. stated that licenses can also be obtained through the mail by sending a description of the dog including age, sex, color, and the breed along with a check and a self-addressed stamped envelope to County Auditor Thomas M. Spetnagel, Jr. Ross County Courthouse, 2 N. Paint St., Ste G, Chillicothe, OH 45601. Applications can also be downloaded from the County Auditor website at www.co.ross.oh.us/auditor. Through February 15th, the registration fee is $10.00 for each dog license and $50.00 for a kennel license.
Dog tags can also be purchased with a credit card through an online service linked to the County Auditor’s website for an additional $2.00 per tag transaction fee.
