JEFFERSONVILLE, Ohio — One person is in serious condition after a house fire in Fayette County.
It happened Saturday night at around 9 p.m. on Upperjamestown Road near West Lancaster Road.
According to Sheriff Vernon P. Stanforth, the elderly homeowner was airlifted from the scene to a burn center in Columbus. Fire Chief Aaron Hauer said the state fire marshal was coming in to help investigate the cause.
Multiple fire departments from three counties responded to assist.
The home was a total loss.
