WASHINGTON, D.C. —- Former President Barack Obama announced Sunday that he had tested positive for COVID-19.
The 44th President tweeted that he has had a scratchy throat for a few days, but otherwise feels fine. Michelle, he said, tested negative for the virus.
The former president went on to remind people of the importance of getting vaccinated.
I just tested positive for COVID. I’ve had a scratchy throat for a couple days, but am feeling fine otherwise. Michelle and I are grateful to be vaccinated and boosted, and she has tested negative.

It’s a reminder to get vaccinated if you haven’t already, even as cases go down.
