COLUMBUS, Ohio — A statewide tornado drill that was scheduled for Wednesday morning has been canceled.

The Ohio Committee for Severe Weather Awareness made the decision based on the potential for severe weather on Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, much of the Buckeye State is under a slight risk for severe weather tomorrow including, the possibility of isolated tornadoes.

A new date for the statewide drill has yet to be released by officials.
