SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio— Two out-of-state men have been charged with drug trafficking after troopers seized nearly $60,000 worth of suspected cocaine in Scioto County.
According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, on April 14, troopers stopped a van with Michigan plates for a traffic violation along Route 823.
Reports say a drug-sniffing canine was dispatched to the scene. Following a search of the vehicle, troopers discovered 625 grams of suspected cocaine.
The driver, Willie L. Coby, 52, Redford, Michigan, and Leon J. McReynolds, 48, Atlanta, Georgia were arrested and transported to the Scioto County Jail. Authorities say both men were charged with felony possession and drug trafficking.
If convicted, Coby and McReynolds could spend the next 22 years in prison.
