ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A manhunt is underway in Ross County after a man was caught attempting to steal a trailer.
Witnesses told the Guardian that deputies were called after neighbors saw the theft of a trailer. When deputies arrived they intercepted the theft.
The suspect, identified by dispatchers as Michael Bosstic, fled from deputies after abandoning his car on Bethel Road once he hit a cattle gate and a tree.
Multiple members of law enforcement set up a perimeter around the area and a search for the wanted man began.
EMS from Huntington Township was also dispatched to the area to transport an injured woman to the hospital. It is unclear what her involvement was in the pursuit.
Deputies, along with the dog warden and probation officers are scouring the area. The dog warden was also called to the scene to assist in the search and to render aide to two dogs in the neighborhood who were without food and water.
