SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio — Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman is seeking the community’s help in finding a wanted man.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, on Thursday, deputies attempted to locate a man suspected of breaking into a home on McDermott Cemetery Road.
Reports say the suspect fled the scene on foot before taking a pickup truck in a nearby driveway.
The vehicle, reports say, was located at a local pay lake.
Detectives searched multiple locations and recovered stolen items, including a stolen vehicle, said the Sheriff.
35-year-old Garry Schackart, Thoroughman said, had multiple warrants for his arrest from indictments including burglary, grand theft auto, and receiving stolen property.
