CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to the 100 block of North Brownell Street on reports of shots fired on Tuesday.
According to the police department, officers responded to the scene and located a father and son who told police that a juvenile male had pulled a gun on the son and fired a shot at him.
The incident occurred, according to witnesses, at the intersection of East Water and North Brownell Street.
The victim told police that there was a fight between him and another individual. Following the psychical altercation, reports say, another juvenile male pulled a gun from his waistband and fired a shot.
Police were able to locate the grandfather of the alleged shooter, who said he had heard the gunshot from his residence. The grandfather told police he witnessed his grandson get into a silver car and flee the scene.
A warrant for the juvenile suspect was requested for two counts of felonious assault and discharging a firearm on or near a premise.
The case, authorities say, remains under investigation.
