NORMAN, Oklahoma — The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma, has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Scioto Valley until 9 p.m.

According to the SPC, a weak cold front will pass through the area this afternoon into the early evening hours triggering storms across the region.

Forecasters say strong winds, large hail, and a few spinup tornadoes will be possible.

Residents should remain weather aware throughout the remainder of the day.
