ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Rescue personnel rushed to Great Seal State Park after dispatchers received a report of an injured man deep in the woods. According to initial reports, the man had sustained a severe head injury while on one of the park’s mountainous trails.
Rescue crews said the 27-year-old man sustained a head injury but was able to call for help.
Reports say crews from neighboring townships assisted in the search for the man by using ATVs (All-Terrain-Vehicles).
Authorities said the man was located along one of the trails that extend across some of the most rugged terrains in Ross County. He was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
The individual’s name and current condition were not immediately released by officials.
