Janet Ruth Conaway, age 87, of South Salem, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at the home of her daughter in South Salem.
She was born August 15, 1935, in Ross County, Ohio, the daughter of Robert and Ruby Marguerite (Pollock) Storts.
She was retired from Greenfield Printing & Publishing and was a homemaker.
She was a 1953 graduate of Buckskin High School and a black belt in karate. Also, she was a member of the United Methodist Church of South Salem as well as a member of the United Methodist Women’s Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Laura (Buzz) Clay of South Salem, Angie and (Greg) Clouser of Bainbridge; seven grandchildren, Brooke (Jeremy) Hargett, Kristen (Ryan) Anderson, Cameron (Tiffini) Clay, Erin (Eric) O’Brien, Megan (Alan) Dondanville, Adam (Lisa) Clouser, Spencer (Megan) Clouser; nine great grandchildren, Cole, Caden, Kayla, Bralon, Cruz, Piper, Griffin, Willow, Nora; two sisters, Audrey Miller of Chillicothe, Linda (Danny) Hitt of South Charleston; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin E. Conaway on April 4, 2015; two sons, Michael Conaway, Jeffrey Conaway; and both parents.
Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 30 at Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Mark Current officiating. Burial will follow in the South Salem Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday.
