HIGHLAND COUNTY, Ohio — A Hillsboro teen lost his life in an early morning crash.
According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, 16-year-old Kolton Hamilton of Hillsboro was traveling along Route 321 shortly after 7:00 a.m. today.
Reports say that Hamilton lost control of his 2008 Honda Civic and veered off the left side of the roadway. Troopers said that the teen re-entered the roadway and was struck by a 2022 Dodge Ram driven by 78-year-old Donald Louderback of Mount Orab.
Kolton Hamilton, officials said, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Highland County Coroner’s Office.
The driver of the Dodge Ram, Donald Louderback, was uninjured in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the patrol.
