VINTON COUNTY, Ohio — Troopers along with the Vinton County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a shooting following a hit-and-run. 

The crash occurred shortly before 4 p.m. 

According to the Jackson Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol, the hit-and-run occurred in the area of Route 93 and Route 324. Dispatchers told responding troopers that a pickup truck collided with a vehicle and then fled the scene. Witnesses told authorities that the suspect returned to the scene and fired a gun.
