PIKE COUNTY, Ohio — According to initial reports, several fire departments responded to the 12000 block of Route 124 for a fully engulfed structure fire early this morning.
The call came in shortly before 5 a.m.
Because of the fire, the Western Pike Local School District operated on a two-hour delay.
Officials say that buses could not reach students due to the road being closed for emergency personnel.
Shortly after 10:30 a.m., additional assistance was requested at the scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
