ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — The Ross County Sheriff’s Office was called to Adena Middle School in Frankfort Thursday, January 5, after a student reportedly commented that they would bring a gun to school and start shooting.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies arrived at the facility and spoke with Principal Dustan England. England, reports say, told deputies that there was an interaction between two students in which one commented, telling the other not to come to school the following day because he was going to “bring his Glock to school and shoot it up.”
Authorities say, they spoke with the juvenile, who said it was a “joke.”
The middle school student now faces expulsion as well as inducing panic charges.
No further details were provided by the sheriff’s office.
