CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Investigators say a 19-year-old Chillicothe man has been linked to multiple crimes within the city of Chillicothe over the past 12 months.
Stefhon Greathouse was arrested last week, after police say he was involved in a shooting on the city’s east side.
Shortly after midnight on January 6, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Scioto Avenue on reports of shots fired. According to reports, officers found a Jeep Compass that was riddled with bullets. Officers said they spoke with a resident who identified Greathouse as the shooter. They went on to say that members of their family had problems with him and that this incident was because of past altercations. The Chillicothe Police Department reported that the vehicle and home had been struck by the gunfire.
Authorities said they requested a search warrant for a home where Greathouse had been staying. Upon a search of the property, Special Response Team members found multiple weapons, including the one believed to have been used in the shooting. Also found was money, and suspected narcotics. Greathouse was taken into custody.
Stefhon Greathouse in November was arrested for weapons under disability following a raid at a residence on Vincent Street. Then in April of 2022, police in Chillicothe responded to South Walnut Street for a reported hostage situation. In that incident, Greathouse allegedly held the residents against their will.
He currently remains in custody at the Ross County Jail.
