WILMINGTON, Ohio — A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for portions of southern Ohio. 

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the following counties in Ohio: Pike, Scioto, Lawrence, Jackson, and Gallia. 

A watch means conditions are favorable for severe weather development.
