ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — The Ross County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident this week on a Union-Scioto (Unioto) school bus.
According to a report from the sheriff’s office, deputies were dispatched to the district’s bus garage after the transportation coordinator said an angry parent stormed onto one of the buses while it was dropping students off.
The district employee provided deputies with video footage of the incident. One deputy, in their report, stated, “He showed me a video that came from a camera that was positioned on the inside of the school bus, at the front, pointed down the lane where the students walk. The school bus was number 27. (employee) told me the recording took place at a student drop-off near the corner of Clinton Road and Patrician Drive. The video shows shortly after the school bus stopped and students started to exit, a female got onto the bus and started to yell at the students on board.”
The deputy added, “The female mentioned a report card that was taken and was yelling at other students to not be on their phones unless they needed to check their sugar.”
The bus driver was able to identify the angry parent. Deputies first tried to speak with the individual but have yet to contact them. The incident, authorities said, remains under investigation.
