Dorothy Irene Miller, age 92, of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday January 26, 2023, at her home with her family by her side.
She was born on October 21, 1930, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late Leo Nutt and Norma (Lambert) Nutt.
Dorothy was a member of the Hillsboro AmVets Post 61. She enjoyed fishing, baking, and making her homemade candy. She loved her family, and she will be greatly missed.
Dorothy is survived by two children, Sharon (Danny) Mick of Hillsboro and Kevin (Debbie) Miller of Chapmanville, WV; a stepson, Robert Miller, Jr. of Columbus; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Lynn Monroe of Columbus; a special family friend, Dee (Kenny) Newell of Marengo, OH, and several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Timson; a granddaughter, Destiny Renee Wical; a grandson, Benjamin Moore; two sisters, Edith Sullivan and Margaret Grashel; five brothers, Harold Nutt, Jay Nutt, Joe “Chief” Nutt, Harley Nutt, Larry Nutt, and a half-brother, Eddie Russell.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday January 31, 2023, at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday February 1, 2023, at the Turner & Son Funeral Home. Jeff Adams will be officiating. Burial will follow services in the Resthaven Memory Gardens.
