CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — New details have been released in the shooting that left one Chillicothe resident in serious condition.
It happened Sunday evening in front of Trippie’s Laundromat on South Walnut Street.
According to Detectives, the victim, 40-year-old Mark Horsley II, was shot in the abdomen and was transported to the ARMC hospital and later to Grant Hospital in Columbus.
Detectives, officials said, arrived at the scene and made contact with the victim’s girlfriend, who witnessed the shooting.

She told authorities that the shooting took place after she, the victim, and a friend went to Tiffin Towers.
Later, the victim was arrested and released, and his girlfriend claimed that an unknown woman took her car but later returned it and demanded money.
The girlfriend stated that she, the victim, and a man named Ty, who lived in one of the apartments at Tiffin Towers, agreed to meet at Trippie’s to exchange money.
During the meeting, reports say, the victim confronted Ty and the two started running towards each other, at which point, Ty allegedly pulled out a black 9mm gun and shot the victim.
Police say the girlfriend took the victim to the hospital. Detectives seized her phone and the victim’s clothing for evidence. The suspected shooter was later identified as Tyrese Finch. He remains in custody at the Ross County Jail.
