WILMINGTON, Ohio — High winds with the possibility of severe weather return to the region.
According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, showers and storms are expected to move across the region during the overnight hours through Thursday evening.
Some storms, forecasters say, could be on the strong to severe side.
High winds will be the big weather story. Much of the state is currently under a Wind Advisory or High Wind Watch. The gusts, officials said, could reach 40 to 60 miles per hour with even stronger winds possible in any thunderstorm. Power outages will be a concern throughout the overnight and early morning hours.
Residents are encouraged to have multiple means of receiving weather warnings.
