Ella M. Williams, age 77, of Hillsboro, passed away peacefully, February 7, 2023, at her home.

She was born on August 13, 1945, in Morgantown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Fred Anderson Sr. and Doris (Nies) Anderson.

Ella attended the Chapel of Hope in Greenfield for 19 years. She loved the Lord, her church family, and her favorite bible verse was “Be still, and know that I am God” Psalms 46:10. She was an avid reader, loved to sew, make quilts, and she loved crocheting blankets for the new babies in the family. She could make anything, find any color you could ask for, and loved giving them to family and friends. She crocheted hats for the homeless and sent them to the Hillsboro homeless shelter and gave handmade blankets to the women’s center in Greenfield. Her skills with any craft needle was pure talent.

She loved her fur babies, Katie and Zoie, and listening to her canary birds sing. Ella never knew a stranger and would start a conversation and treat you like family. She had a joyful laugh, and a joking nature. Her sister Darlene Packard was not only her sister, but her best friend. Ella enjoyed her weekend stays in Dayton , shopping for more yarn, and traveling for adventure as well as visiting family. Ella and Darlene shared the talent of crafts and reading books. Her grandson Dusty Johnson, was very special to her and always there when she needed help with her home, taking her to doctor appointments, or to the grocery store.

Ella married Marty Williams on December 18, 1966, and they shared a compassion of love for each other. Marty treated her like a princess as she was the love of his life. That void could never be filled after his passing on July 9, 2020. For 2 years and 6 months she waited for his hand to take her to their new Heavenly Home. On February 7, 2023, due to their relationship with our Savior, this was made possible.

Ella is survived by her five children, Rose (Todd) Keech, of Hillsboro, Cindy (Elvie) Toppings, of South Salem, Laurie (Lonnie) Adkins, of Greenfield, Rachel (John) Kendall, of Chillicothe and Martin (Jennifer) Williams, Jr. of Florida; grandchildren, Dustin Johnson, Clarissa Fitzpatrick, Savannah Didas, Phillip and Taneka Hughes, Jacob and Kimmie Toppings, Rodney, Brian, Brandon and Josh Cordy, Katilyn Taylor, Lonnie III, Tye, Jason Adkins, Breelyn and Brooklyn Hester, Cierra Ellis, Alexis, Jonathan, Chelsey and Kaylee Kendall, Bryce and Kaydence Williams; thirty eight great grandchildren; three siblings, Daniel (Marsha) Anderson, Darlene (Ken) Packard, and Fred (Rebecca) Anderson; numerous nieces and nephews and she loved every one of them.
