Rosemary Jenkins, age 75 of Powell, formerly of Hillsboro, the community of Carmel, passed away early Friday morning, February 24, 2023.
She was born August 22, 1947 in Columbus, the daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Clipner) Pierson.
She was a member of the Cynthiana Church of Christ in Christian Union, where she was the pianist and had served as a Sunday School teacher and Church Treasurer for many years.
Mrs. Jenkins is survived by four children, Kenneth (Tanya) Jenkins, Jr. of Powell, Jeff (Lisa) Jenkins of Broken Arrow, OK, Tim Jenkins of Carmel, and Joni (Aaron) Lewis of Denver, CO; four grandchildren, Joshua Jenkins, Katie Jenkins, Abby Jenkins and Emily Jenkins; four siblings, Brenda (Philip) David of Rockford, Michigan, John (Liz) Pierson of Winchester, Virginia, Bob Pierson and Mariam Pierson, both of Columbus; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-two years Kenneth E. Jenkins, Sr., on August 3, 2008; a brother, Brent Pierson, a sister, Etta Mae Pierson; and a sister-in-law Louise Pierson.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 3, 2023 at the Cynthiana Church of Christ in Christian Union. Burial will follow in the Carmel Church of God Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
