ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A deputy in Ross County made a big drug bust over the weekend when he stopped a car for not using a turn signal.

Deputy Isaac Oberer made a large drug bust over the weekend.

Deputy Isaac Oberer was on patrol on route 23 near Rozelle Creek Road over the weekend when he saw Marvin Puckett, 59, McDermott, commit several traffic violations. Oberer pulled the vehicle over and noticed suspicious behavior from those inside.

A K-9 was called to the scene, where the dog and deputies found a plastic bag containing suspected fentanyl and another plastic bag containing approximately 224 grams of suspected methamphetamine, the Sheriff said; drug paraphernalia was also located inside the vehicle.

A passenger, William Walters, 46, Otway, was found to have warrants from the Adult Parole Authority and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. He was arrested for his warrants, while Puckett was arrested for a warrant out of Waverly. Both men were transported to the Ross County Jail. Once at the jail, deputies found another bag of meth in Puckett’s pants.

Puckett and Walters were also charged with possessing drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia.
