PIKE COUNTY, Ohio — A kidnapping call to police ended with a high-speed chase and manhunt.
It happened Sunday morning.
According to Pike County Sheriff Tracy D. Evans, deputies responded to the area of Route 220 and River Road on a call about a possible abduction. The sheriff said that while responded to the call, a vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s vehicle was spotted.
Reports say that law enforcement attempted a traffic stop. The suspect, deputies stated, then fled at a high rate of speed. The suspect reportedly got away from deputies but a few hours later the victim was found walking along Rapp Montgomery Road.
The suspect, later identified as Timothy Joe Brown, was not located by authorities. The Sheriff’s Office said Brown is still at large and should be considered armed and dangerous. He is originally from Waverly and is described as a 34-year-old male, 6’6″, approximately 300lbs with brown
hair and brown eyes. Brown also has a tattoo of a confederate flag and a skull on his upper left arm and on his right arm.
He is also wanted for warrants from the Adult Parole Authority.
