Iona Elizabeth Knisley, age 91, of Greenfield, Ohio, passed away Monday, February 27, 2023 at ProMedica of Hillsboro, surrounded by family.
She was born May 10, 1931 in Ross County, Ohio, the daughter of Joe and Martha (Kinnison) Knisley.
She was a former employee of Collins Meat Packing and Detty’s Market both Greenfield and was also a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Jim (Robin) Knisley of Leesburg, Mike Knisley of Greenfield; four daughters, Lana “Candy” Dillard of Pigeon Forge, TN, Jeri Litteral of Hillsboro, Martha (Kenny) May of Leesburg, Kellie Goodrich (Allan Storer) of Leesburg; twenty grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; twelve great great-grandchildren; one sister, Norma (Charlie) Lampen of New Boston, New Hampshire; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert O. Knisley on December 25, 2001; two sons, Donald Knisley, Dwayne Knisley; one grandson, Clinton Goodrich; three sisters, Josephine Hatfield, Mildred Jones, Bernice Rostine; two brothers, John Knisley, Sherman Knisley; and both parents.
Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 3 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Friday, at the funeral home.
