PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio — A Pickaway County home was destroyed by fire over the weekend.
It happened on Saturday around 2:30 p.m. in the Williamsport area.
Firefighters, reports say, responded to the residence on Randle Road in Muhlenberg Township on after a caller told dispatchers heavy smoke was billowing from the home. Additional assistance was requested from neighboring departments to help battle the blaze.
Officials say firefighters were able to eventually suppress the fire, but the home was a total loss. No injuries were reported in the fire, according to the Mount Sterling Joint Ambulance District.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
