ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — The Ross County grand jury returned 25 indictments this week, including one local man charged with rape.
Timothy Ortiz of Chillicothe was indicted on two counts of rape. The case stems from an incident that allegedly occurred on November 24, 2022.
Ortiz was originally charged with felonious assault, but the grand jury in January elected not to indict him on that charge.
He currently remains in custody at the Ross County Jail on a combined $125,000 bond.
