ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — The Ross County grand jury returned 25 indictments this week, including one local man charged with rape. Â
Timothy Ortiz of Chillicothe was indicted on two counts of rape. The case stems from an incident that allegedly occurred on November 24, 2022. Â
Ortiz was originally charged with felonious assault, but the grand jury in January elected not to indict him on that charge. Â
He currently remains in custody at the Ross County Jail on a combined $125,000 bond. Â
