SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio — In Ohio, a 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged with two counts of rape and one count of importuning, after an investigation was launched by the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office.
According to Sheriff David Thoroughman, the office was contacted by the county’s Children’s Services on Thursday afternoon, March 9th, following a report that a three-year-old child may have been sexually assaulted. Detective Sergeant Jodi Conkel, working in partnership with the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victim Unit, began the investigation and found that there may be another victim who was 10 years old at the time.
The suspect, Travis Tyler Risner, was taken into custody after detectives located him at his residence. Risner is being held on a $210,000 bond and will appear in court on Friday, March 10th.
The investigation is ongoing and could involve more victims, according to Sheriff Thoroughman.
