CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The latest inspection report of several Chillicothe food establishments has revealed a number of violations. The report, which covers inspections conducted this week, shows that several facilities were flagged for repeat offenses, while others were cited for critical control point violations.
At White Castle located at 1000 N Bridge St, inspectors found a light fixture not working at the mop sink, debris accumulation on floors and walls in the ware wash area, and light intensity less than ten foot candles in required areas. The facility has been reviewed for cleaning and maintenance.
Hana Steak House Inc. located at 1015 N Bridge St was cited for several critical violations, including employees not being informed of their responsibility to report information about their health, no written procedures for responding to vomiting or diarrheal events, and raw chicken and eggs stored above shrimp in the refrigerator. Additionally, cooked rice was being stored at ambient air temperature, and a container of flour was found without a lid in the dry storage area. The facility has been given corrective actions to address these violations. The health district warned that repeated violations could result in an administrative hearing.
Wendy’s located at 1135 E Main St was found to have a prep cooler and freezer with a buildup of food debris in the unit, as well as cracks and crevices with a buildup of debris on the floor throughout the kitchen.
Tumbleweed located at 1150 N Bridge St was cited for repeat violations, including a steam table with broken knobs, cutting boards across from the grill that is unable to be easily cleaned, and debris buildup around floor drains in the dishwashing area.
Panda Express located at 1251 N Bridge St, was cited for an improperly cleaned storage area for refuse and recyclables, with an accumulation of debris on the ground in the dumpster area.
Finally, Marco’s Pizza located at 1012 Western Ave was flagged for not having an employee with manager certification in food protection, employees not being informed of their responsibility to report information about their health, and a food employee not wearing a hair restraint. The facility has been given corrective actions to address these violations.
