PIKE COUNTY, Ohio — A two-vehicle crash that occurred on Friday, March 17, has left one person injured. The incident happened just before 5:00 p.m. in Pike County.

According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, 28-year-old Amanda Barber was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox southbound on Route 23, slowing to make a right turn onto County Road 48. At the same time, 34-year-old Johnathon Cook was driving a commercial vehicle in the right lane of Route 23, when it struck Barber’s vehicle on the right side. Both vehicles then exited the roadway and hit a guardrail before coming to a stop.

Barber was taken to Adena Pike Hospital for evaluation by EMS. The extent of her injuries is unknown at this time.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.
