VINTON COUNTY, Ohio — The Vinton County Sheriff’s Office recently released its activity report for the weekend of March 24 through March 26, 2023. The report provided a detailed summary of the incidents that deputies responded to during that time frame.
On March 24, deputies arrested Kenneth Stevens on outstanding warrants out of Vinton County. Stevens was taken to Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail. Deputies also checked on a disabled vehicle on State Route 124 and handled a noise complaint on Railroad Street in Hamden. Later in the day, they responded to a non-injury vehicle crash on Macedonia Road and a theft on Wilson Avenue in Hamden. Angela Gregory was taken into custody on outstanding warrants out of Vinton County but was released on a summons due to a lack of jail space.
The following day, deputies responded to several incidents, including a non-injury vehicle crash on US Highway 50, a report of livestock on State Route 160, and a complaint of property damage on Fairview Road. They also responded to a vehicle rollover on Beechgrove Road, property damage at the Vinton County Fairgrounds, and a complaint of a suspicious vehicle on South Market Street in McArthur. Later in the day, they conducted a traffic stop on State Route 278, responded to a residential burglary alarm on Creola Road, and handled property damage on Perry Ridge Road.
On March 25, David Harkins was arrested at 11:34 PM on outstanding warrants out of Vinton County after deputies responded to a call about a trespasser on Wolf Hill Road. Harkins was transported to Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.
On March 26, deputies responded to various incidents, including a vehicle blocking the roadway on North Branch Road, dispatching an injured deer on West Junction Road, and conducting traffic stops on US Highway 50 and Vinton Station Road. They also responded to reports of gunshots on Old Dixon Road and a suspicious person on Perry Ridge Road. In addition, they patrolled Hamden after receiving complaints of a suspicious vehicle and responded to property damage on South Main Street.
